This is the story of how my circumstances dramatically improved, during a period of unequivocal turmoil, after starting over again in the great state of Alaska.

At this point in the adventure, things weren’t looking too good…both literally and figuratively. Everything was in shambles.

After unbelievable luck Back East, I was ready to up the ante in The Great Land.

Some say that satisfaction is a telltale sign that you’ve lost your edge. If you’re bent on world travel, this can certainly present a challenge.

Here I describe the defining moment of my life. Confronted with overwhelming obstacles and uncertainty, I develop the resolve to see matters through to the end, no matter what the cost. In the process, I discover what it means to truly live.

This is my story of leaving home. Reflecting back, a decade later, I can still remember the precariousness of it all. The day of departure eventually came floating along like a bubble in the summer breeze.
